Starting from as young as age four (4), children who are accepted into the Shim's Martial Arts Academy will embark on a journey that will be a unique and positive experience. Self-defense is important to a youth, but is not the only reason to enroll your child in Martial Arts. Our program is specially formulated to assist your child in developing his or her whole body and mind. Our fun and easy-to-learn program will help your child to:

Martial Arts is not just for Bruce Lee fans - Self-Defense has much to offer for those who usually stick to standard workouts. You may never have the opportunity to fight off an attacker (or at least we hope that's the case), but it's still worth your while to study the Martial Arts. One great asset - the way it clears your mind while sharpening your physical skills. It demands that you focus your attention and channel your energies in precise, powerful moves - chops, kicks, twists, even dynamic jumps.
The discipline has another dimension that makes it attractive. You'll see real, visible progress as you graduate through different, increasingly difficult, levels of training - white, yellow, green, blue, red, pre-black, then black (which itself has nine levels).
Besides the improvements of actual Tae Kwon Do skills, you will see and feel the difference in your appearance, self-confidence, stamina, self-discipline and numerous other self-improvement goals you may have set for yourself. |
